Business Analyst

Major Investment Banks Fixed Income Trading group is embarking on a large initiative to re-define and expand its product offering to support its existing client business. This offering will compromise of a new client facing Fixed Income trading application for our institutional client base. The role is for a Business Analyst to join the product development team. Reporting to the head of product development, the individual will be involved in the early stages analysis of new product line with a view to rolling it out onto the new platform. The individual would have responsibility for a number of product lines; initially working closely with the respective sales & trading desks and clients to gather requirements; assist in the User Interface design; presenting these requirements to the development teams; assisting the development process and finally signing off the product line before it is released to clients.
Skills Required
•Understanding and experience of the Interest Rates, Credit or Currency markets. •Ideally experience in FX or Derivative •Business focused individual •Business analyst experience though not essential •Form relationships with & work with sales & traders to gather requirements for a product line •Work with client facing teams to gather client requirement •Compose formal requirements and stories for the development team •Work with the User Interface team to shape the client user interface for the product line •Present formal requirements and stories to development team •Work with the development team as the functionality is incorporated into the application •Review the testing of the product line •Product line sign off before client roll out •Work with the Marketing and Client on Boarding team to plan marketing & training materials and collating client feed back •Effective team leader as well as cooperative and supportive team player •Excellent project management skills •Highly organized and self-motivated •Entrepreneurial nature •Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. •Ability to influence senior management •Enjoy the client facing nature of this role •Solid financial services experience
