Two Senior Cisco Networking Engineers role providing in-depth Routing Protocol and Lan Switching expertise to our global Enterprise Wide customers.
Provide Network Problem Resolution, Root Cause Analysis
Expert level in Routing GSR, Lan Switching specific to 7600 & 6K, Multicast, QoS and Layer 2 technologies.
Provide expert level technical assistance in Routing Protocol, Large Scale Architecture, Security, and or other customer-specific technologies as necessary.
Receive minimal supervision, no instruction on routine work, and general instruction on new assignments.
Experience in Interfacing with all levels of CSEs, NCEs, SEs, VARs, OEMs, and end users.
--Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
--Provides systems product training.
--Provide guidance & leadership to less experienced engineers.
--Act as a focal point for large account network problem resolution.
--Provide support on a worldwide basis.
Skills
Required Skills
--Min.7 years experience troubleshooting Routing/Switching across Cisco platforms.
--Minimum 7 years of networking experience, including configuring & building servers, analyzing & troubleshooting complex networks
--Expert level Layer 2 and 3 as this position will primarily focus on supporting Ciscos Routing & Switching platforms.
--GSR, 7600, 6500 expert level system architecture and the ability to independently troubleshoot complex routing, switching and forwarding issues.
--Multicast Multicast experience and experience of troubleshooting multicast
--Strong documentation skills--to be utilized for case management, knowledge capture, & defect management.
--Very strong problem solving skills--will be utilized often in this position.
--Ability to drive recreates remotely--Many issues result in the engineer needing to perform a recreate of the customer problem in order to isolate the issue and resolve.
--Expert level and proven crisis management skills, and the ability to excel under pressure under extreme deadlines.
--Demonstrate excellence in customer-interaction, written and verbal communication, and assertive leadership.
