Position
Located in Las Vega, NV, the primary responsibility of the Programmer Analyst is to design and code best programs from detailed specifications.
Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
· Test programs to determine if they perform as intended and may share in installation of new programs.
· Follow defined solutions with specific task instructions to complete coding.
· Gain industry knowledge by applying basic problem solving and technical skills from short to medium duration tasks.
· Help train users on new programs.
Requirements:
· Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience in Computer Science, Database Administration, MIS or Electrical Engineering required.
· 2 - 3 years programming experience, with analytical background preferred, proven technical and problem-solving skills acquired through college courses, technical training and previous programming experience.
· Working knowledge of RPG programming language on AS/400 platforms. General knowledge of multiple programming languages is preferred.
· Ability to analyze a problem in order to develop a result.
· Basic knowledge of planning, monitoring, and reactive techniques and methodologies.
· Demonstrate a basic understanding of the systems and applications (including platforms and operating systems) while keeping track of current developments and trends.
· Demonstrate a basic understanding of business functions and the corresponding technical strategies, benefits, risks and costs that impact the business.
· Must be competent to work on simple and moderately complex programs with one or more inputs to generate one or more outputs.
