PROJECT MANAGER - IT SERVICES

Our client is looking for exceptional individuals to fill our role as a Project Manager to support our IT Service initiatives and become part of our dynamic organization. This is a great opportunity for a project management professional that has a passion both for cutting edge technology and traditional project management techniques. This role will allow you to manage new IT Infrastructure/Services projects from conception to delivery and be an integral part of building extremely high quality trading environments.

Responsibilities:

Manage and facilitate full life cycle IT Services projects
Create and maintain project plans and documentation
Facilitate standup, planning and retrospective meetings
Work with internal departments and external vendors to obtain approvals and negotiate service agreements
Coach IT Services professionals in how to best apply project management methodologies to their organization
Maintain relationships with key trading business units and software development teams on all aspects of implementing new technology infrastructure
Report on project progress and risks to management


Qualifications:

Successful track record facilitating large and complex IT infrastructure/services projects in one or more of the following areas: network planning/upgrades, telecommunications, data center, disaster recovery and application monitoring
Previous experience working with networking technology and hardware; strong knowledge of networking concepts and terminology
Strong initiative; proven track record of taking ownership of projects through successful completion
Experience leading team meetings, assigning action items and tasks, and managing overall project tracking
Skilled at dependency identification and contingency planning activities
Strong business acumen and ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Familiarity with PMI Body of Knowledge desired; PMP certification a plus
Previous consulting experience desirable
Experience working with project planning software, including MS Project
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities
Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail
Previous experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Good working knowledge of Capital Markets
Previous experience in the trading industry highly preferred


Compensation  $150,000/y
