The Unix Engineering Team Lead is responsible for managing the architecture and operations of our Unix/Linux environment.
Responsibilities
Manage team Unix Engineers; direct and oversee their work
Manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects for the Unix team
Assess, research and implement new technologies in the Linux/Solaris environment
Perform Linux/Solaris architecture, administration, automated installation, and performance tuning
Plan and participate in NAS NFS storage administration and tuning activities
Provide third party and internal trading system support for companys platforms
Work closely with developers and traders to improve Unix architecture and operations
Architect and implement fault tolerant systems
Create and maintain system documentation

Qualifications:
Previous team lead experience
5 - 10 years Linux/Solaris administration
Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects
Previous experience in system and network performance tuning
Previous experience working with clustering technologies
Ability to manage multiple projects and integrate new project requirements effectively
Ability to work off hours and early morning hours when required
Experience supporting trading systems (both third party and internally developed) desired
Exposure to working with major trading exchanges desired
Team player and self motivated
Excellent ability to document architecture, procedures, and other relevant data
Strong verbal and written communication skills


Compensation  $180,000/y
