What you will be doing....

• Manage accounting team including accounts payable clerk, accounts receivable clerk, payroll accountant and a senior staff accountant
• Create quarterly budgets and projections
• Prepare accurate, timely consolidated financial statements each month
• Review monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and any issues
• Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
• Prepare quarterly debt covenant calculations
• Coordinate preparation of monthly FINRA FOCUS filings
• Reconcile cash accounts daily
• Review and authorize bill payments and employee expense reports
• Coordinate annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits and working with tax preparers
• Review and supervise the semi-monthly payroll
• Collaborate with third party administrator and review and process monthly distributions related to the advisor’s proprietary investment vehicles
• Proactively shares ideas and contributes ongoing suggestions for enhancement of the Firm

What you need to bring to the table....

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA required
• 8-10 years’ experience in general or tax accounting
• Experience with computerized ledger systems
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Team player with leadership qualities
• Ability to collaborate and work well with all levels of the organization
