- You’ll work cross-functionally with General Managers, Sales Leaders, and key decision-makers across the BlueLinx network.
- Your success directly drives customer satisfaction, product penetration, and profitability.
- You’ll have the autonomy to build customer relationships the right way — with support from a national organization and the local agility of Disdero.
- Lead all sales efforts for your specialty category, aligning to BlueLinx’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
- Build district-level sales plans with General Managers and execute against targeted goals.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and expand revenue with existing customers.
- Manage relationships with key accounts, ensuring a strong value proposition and proactive problem-solving.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring needs are met with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Provide product expertise and support impactful customer presentations.
- Improve product mix, penetration, and overall profitability across your assigned customers.
- Stay informed of market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics to advise on strategy.
- Conduct joint sales calls with Sales Representatives to identify growth opportunities.
- Offer coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to strengthen sales effectiveness.
- Recommend product or service enhancements that drive customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into actionable plans.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence across teams and customers.
- Proven success in sales, business development, or account management — ideally within building materials or adjacent industries.
- The ability to navigate complex challenges, analyze trends, and offer innovative solutions.
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively across functions.
- Decision-Making: Apply sound judgment within the framework of company policy, guidelines, and established best practices.
- Financial Influence: Contribute to district planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Problem Solving: Address complex issues requiring thoughtful analysis and cross-team collaboration.
- Leadership: Influence without authority, build consensus, and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
