Job Title: Charge Capture Associate (Outpatient) Location: San Luis Obispo ,CA Job Type: Travel 13-Week Contract Shift: Evening Shift Pay Rate: $20/hourly Mandatory Qualifications for this Job High School Diploma or GED (Required); Associate Degree or equivalent experience preferred Prior charge entry / medical billing experience in a healthcare setting (Preferred) Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM) processes Familiarity with charge master (CDM) and outpatient billing systems Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) and billing software Ability to follow standard operating procedures and compliance guidelines Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Roles and Responsibilities Review, analyze, and coordinate charge master (CDM) activities Accurately enter outpatient charges into the billing system Ensure proper coding and billing of services for reimbursement Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to verify billable items Balance charge summaries with encounter forms prior to final submission Analyze reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing errors Support revenue cycle operations, including billing accuracy and efficiency Assist with audits and process improvement initiatives Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and coding standards Communicate updates and issues to supervisors and relevant departments Perform additional administrative and billing-related tasks as assigned
