LifeBridge Health is seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team in our regional healthcare organization serving communities across Maryland. As a key member of an interdisciplinary care team, the Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in an acute care or specialty setting, supporting LifeBridge Health’s mission to improve health and promote well-being in diverse communities. In this role, you will perform thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and deliver safe, evidence-based nursing interventions for a broad range of medical and surgical conditions. You will administer medications and treatments, monitor patients’ responses, and promptly recognize and escalate changes in condition using sound clinical judgment. The Registered Nurse will document all aspects of care accurately in the electronic health record, contribute to safe transitions of care, and actively participate in discharge planning to support optimal outcomes and reduce readmissions. Collaboration is central to this position: you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, pharmacists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care that is timely, efficient, and aligned with each patient’s goals and preferences. You will provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care, empowering them to manage their health and navigate the healthcare system more confidently. Consistent with LifeBridge Health’s culture of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, you will actively participate in quality and performance-improvement initiatives, adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and support the implementation of new practices and technologies that enhance care delivery. You will serve as an advocate for patients and families, demonstrating cultural sensitivity, respect, and empathy in all interactions. The Registered Nurse will also contribute to a supportive, team-based environment by communicating effectively with colleagues, assisting peers during high-acuity or high-volume periods, and, when appropriate, precepting or mentoring new nurses and nursing students. LifeBridge Health offers opportunities for career advancement and professional development, including access to continuing education, specialty certifications, and advancement pathways within the organization. This position is ideal for a nurse who is committed to continuous learning, evidence-based practice, and making a meaningful impact on the health of the community while working within a dynamic, innovative health system.
