Key Responsibilities of the Financial Operations Manager:
  • Lead and manage the Accounting and Client Services Department, including AP, AR, general ledger, financial reporting, and client support
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development to department staff
  • Establish departmental goals and align operations with organizational objectives
  • Oversee preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements for client associations
  • Review financial packages, including variance analysis and reconciliations, for accuracy and completeness
  • Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end accounting close processes
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support client decision‑making
  • Coordinate audits, reviews, and tax filings with external partners
  • Ensure accurate billing, assessment collections, vendor payments, and banking activities
  • Improve and streamline financial processes and manage accounting transitions for new or departing clients
Preferred Qualifications for the Financial Operations Manager:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial data
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment
  • Detail‑oriented, analytical, and solutions‑focused mindset
