Warehouse/Distribution Center Supervisor - Salary up to $65,000 - Work/Life Balance - Airport Area of Memphis, TN - Permanent Direct Hire

My client, a growing and dynamic distributor with 100 years of history, is adding a Warehouse/Distribution Center Supervisor for its new 186,000-square-foot distribution center in Memphis near the airport. Great culture with a strong work-life balance. The company boasts of its long-tenured employees and excellent benefits, including 401k match. The salary goes up to $65,000. Hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Permanent direct hire. Must have full-cycle warehouse experience and be forklift-certified.

Overview of the Warehouse/Distribution Center Supervisor:

• This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and acts as second in command, and is in charge when the Warehouse Manager is out.
• Perform receiving, shipping, stocking/inventory, and general warehouse functions. May include either international or domestic receipts or shipments.
• Operate material handling equipment and possess and maintain required certifications if needed
• Coordinate all functions of the DC to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment and ensure that subordinate employees follow company and department safety policies.
• Manage team performance, provide adequate training for employees, coach, counsel, motivate, and evaluate employees.

Qualifications of the Warehouse/Distribution Center Supervisor:

• Must have supervisory experience with inbound/outbound experience, picking/packing experience, planning and processing when goods arrive, and execution to get goods out to customers.
