In this role, you will perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures with a strong focus on patient safety, image quality, and compassionate care. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will prepare and position patients, operate radiologic imaging equipment, follow physician orders and established protocols, and ensure accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment. You will verify patient identity, explain procedures in clear and reassuring language, and practice strict radiation safety standards while maintaining a calm, professional presence. Responsibilities include reviewing orders, setting appropriate technical factors, capturing and evaluating images for diagnostic quality, and documenting procedures in the electronic medical record. You will support workflow by prioritizing exams based on clinical need, assisting with portable or emergency imaging, and communicating critical findings or concerns to the care team. As a Radiology Technologist II, you may also perform more complex or specialized studies, serve as a resource to other technologists, and assist with training and mentoring.
