Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 (target range $140K–$150K)
- Bonus: Up to 5% (eligible beginning next fiscal year)

Position Overview
The Director of Finance & Accounting is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, reporting, and compliance. This Director of Finance & Accounting will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and provide strategic financial insight to leadership and the Board.
Key Responsibilities of the
Director of Finance & Accounting- Lead monthly and year-end close processes
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Review payroll processes (prepared by Staff Accountant)
- Manage audit preparation and external audit process
- Present financial reports to Executive leadership and Board
- Oversee 401(k) and 403(b) administration (loans, rollovers, compliance)
- Maintain and enhance policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Partner with operational leadership to support decision-making
Team & Structure
- Reports directly to Executive Director
- Dotted-line reporting to Board of Directors
- Manages:
- Staff Accountant
- Medicare/Medicaid Consultant
- Systems: Lawson ERP, UKG Pro Payroll
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful Director of Finance & Accounting will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- CPA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Experience in senior living, healthcare, nonprofit, or similar environments (preferred)
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Strong presentation skills with ability to engage executive leadership and Board members
- Hands-on experience with:
- Financial reporting and close processes
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Audit management
- Payroll oversight
- Retirement plan administration
