The ideal candidate will be a strategic, hands-on financial professional who can manage high-volume operations, ensure accurate reporting, and fully integrate into our high-performing team culture. You will attend regular director meetings and contribute directly to the financial and operational management of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all company financial operations and multiple business accounts/entities
  • Manage high-volume daily financial activity including vendor payments, payroll oversight, reconciliations, and cash flow
  • Supervise and work alongside existing accounting support personnel
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all accounting systems, reporting, and financial processes
  • Generate advanced financial reports, forecasts, projections, and profitability analyses
  • Work directly with ownership and executive leadership to provide strategic financial guidance
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve profitability and reduce overhead
  • Utilize AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and advanced automation technologies to improve reporting accuracy, streamline workflows, and enhance business intelligence
  • Build systems and processes that improve operational efficiency and scalability
  • Lead and manage accounting and financial operations with accountability and professionalism
  • Assist in long-term strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and company growth initiatives
  • Coordinate with outside CPAs, banks, payroll providers, and financial vendors

Required Education/Qualifications:
  • CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in a senior-level Controller, Director of Finance, or similar financial leadership role
  • Strong understanding of operational finance, cash flow management, reporting, forecasting, and profitability analysis
  • Experience managing high transaction volume and multiple company accounts/entities
  • Strong QuickBooks experience required
  • Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets, reporting systems, and AI-driven productivity tools
  • Experience using AI and advanced technology tools for reporting, analysis, forecasting, and operational improvement
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

The company has an established long-term relationship with an outside CPA/tax firm that has managed all tax preparation and filings for many years. This external CPA firm will continue handling all company tax returns and tax-related submissions.
**However, the Controller will be expected to work closely with the outside CPA by providing accurate financial reports, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and operational financial information necessary for tax preparation, financial review, and strategic planning purposes.
This structure allows the Controller to focus primarily on financial leadership, operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, profitability analysis, forecasting, systems improvement, and strategic growth initiatives rather than functioning as a tax preparer.

**Base salary starting at $150,000+ depending on experience, expertise, intelligence, and leadership capability.
Significant compensation growth potential tied directly to performance and measurable results.
Long-term executive growth opportunity into a CFO-level role.
Potential future equity participation for the right individual based on contribution and company growth.
We are seeking someone who wants more than a job — someone who wants to become a key part of building a larger, smarter, more efficient, and more profitable organization over the long term.
