Licensed Psychologist / Licensed Clinical Social Worker (CBT Focus)

Bio Behavioral Institute Great Neck, NY

The Bio Behavioral Institute (BBI) is a nationally recognized private-pay specialty practice focused on OCD, anxiety disorders, BDD, and related conditions. For more than 45 years, our team has been at the forefront of evidence-based treatment, helping thousands of patients build fuller and more meaningful lives.

We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker interested in meaningful clinical work, advanced training, and collaborative specialty care within a highly respected treatment environment.

This is an opportunity to work alongside internationally recognized leaders in OCD and anxiety treatment while developing deep expertise in CBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

Position Highlights

  • Full-time W-2 position
  • Approximately 25 clinical hours weekly
  • Compensation range: $150,000-$180,000+
  • Primarily in-person collaborative treatment environment ( 4 days weekly onsite)
  • Private-pay practice with low administrative burden
  • Extensive training and supervision in CBT and ERP
  • Highly collaborative team-based treatment model
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership as the organization expands

About the Role

Clinicians at BBI provide evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals struggling with OCD, anxiety disorders, BDD, mood disorders, ASD, and related conditions.

The role includes:

  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Collaborative treatment planning within our outpatient and specialty IOP programs
  • Community-based ERP and real-world exposure work when clinically appropriate
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes

Many clinicians initially spend more time supporting patients within our specialty IOP programs. As patients progress through treatment, clinicians often continue working with them in longer-term outpatient psychotherapy, naturally leading to a greater proportion of traditional outpatient work over time.

This structure allows clinicians to build meaningful long-term therapeutic relationships while developing strong expertise in evidence-based treatment.

We are looking for clinicians who enjoy active, evidence-based psychotherapy and want to continue developing strong CBT and ERP skills within a collaborative specialty environment.

Qualifications

  • Psy.D., Ph.D., or LCSW from an accredited program
  • Licensed in New York
  • Strong CBT foundation and interest in evidence-based treatment
  • Interest in OCD and anxiety-related disorders
  • Warm, engaged, and directive clinical style
  • Strong collaborative mindset

Experience with ERP or specialty anxiety treatment is a plus, but not required.

We place a strong emphasis on:

  • Clinical excellence
