- Administers contrast in accordance with established protocols under the direction of the proceduralist
- Performs proper patient positioning and applies appropriate radiographic techniques for interventional procedures
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of patient preparation, equipment operation, and monitoring systems
- Accurately identifies patients using two identifiers and follows universal protocol for all procedures
- Reviews patient history and physician orders; applies departmental protocols to ensure optimal imaging results
- Documents patient history and required information in the electronic medical record
- Maintains a safe procedural environment by adhering to aseptic technique and time-out processes
- Communicates clearly with patients to explain procedures, ease concerns, and encourage cooperation
- Ensures all exams are accurately coded, tracked in RIS, transmitted to ISITE, and charges are properly entered
- Builds positive relationships with patients and team members through compassion, respect, and active listening
- Collaborates effectively across departments to support efficient patient care
- Assists with general radiographic procedures as needed
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. - ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
