Oncology Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Santa Barbara, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive medication management including ordering lab tests, therapy selection, and managing adverse drug events.
• Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols to ensure accuracy, proper dosing, and patient safety.
• Provide education and support to patients and caregivers on treatment plans and managing chemotherapy side effects, enhancing medication adherence.
• Collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff during clinical rounds to inform treatment decisions.
• Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug use, and contribute to developing oncology protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy.
• Eligibility to obtain a California pharmacist license.
• Completion of PGY2 residency or fellowship in oncology, or PGY1 plus a minimum of 3 years as a clinical oncology specialist, or 5 years as a clinical oncology specialist.
• Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is preferred.
• Proven clinical expertise in oncology pharmacy preferred over staffing experience.
