Radiology - Cardiothoracic Imaging Radiologist
Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Radiologist who is also adept in Body Imaging. This role will lead a newly established Cardiothoracic Imaging service within the Department of Radiology, primarily based at our facility in Maywood, Illinois, just 20 minutes west of downtown Chicago.
The selected candidate will become part of a dynamic Radiology Department comprising over 50 specialized radiologists, including 14 focused on Body Imaging, one of whom has completed fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Imaging. This team supports clinical services across multiple locations, including our main medical center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, MacNeal Hospital, and various outpatient care centers. Additionally, the department boasts a fully accredited residency program with 28 residents, one body fellow, and a total of four fellows.
Applicants should hold Board Certification in Radiology and possess fellowship training or equivalent experience in Cardiothoracic or Thoracic imaging. Responsibilities will include overseeing Cardiothoracic Imaging services, managing workflow, establishing protocols, leading multidisciplinary conferences, and providing education. The role will also involve some responsibilities in abdominal imaging. As more cardiothoracic faculty are brought on board, the candidate will take on the directorship of the new cardiothoracic imaging section. This position presents a unique chance to shape and expand a burgeoning service in Cardiac and Thoracic imaging, which includes an active lung cancer screening initiative, CTA, cardiac imaging, and a robust program for interstitial lung disease. While the position is primarily onsite, there are options for home workstations for call duties and flexible rotation coverage.
Faculty rank and salary will be aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Applicants must be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois by the time of hire.
