Job Description
Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiologist

We are seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiologist to join our newly formed specialty practice in Boise, Idaho. Our organization is a large multispecialty group with over 650 providers and serves as the primary source for advanced interventional services in the region. We are proud to be the only Regional Level II Trauma Center at our facility.

This position involves a traditional workweek schedule, including on-call duties and hospital responsibilities that may extend to evenings and weekends. The call schedule is shared equally among the members of the Interventional Radiology Department.

As a key provider of advanced interventional radiology services, our Interventional Radiologists will collaborate with fellow specialists and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver care for patients facing complex medical conditions. This role will involve utilizing advanced imaging techniques alongside minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a diverse range of diseases.

Our well-established interventional radiology service features state-of-the-art technology, including biplane angiography, MRI MRA, CT/CTA, and CT perfusion. Interventional Radiologists will have the opportunity to perform a variety of procedures such as embolization, thrombectomy, venous access, TIPS, aortic dissection management, peripheral arterial disease treatments, biopsies, ablations, and stent placements, tailored to their training and community needs.

The primary workplace will be at our Regional Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center. Weekday procedures are also conducted at our Medical Center in Nampa, with limited responsibilities at our facilities in Ontario and Baker City, Oregon.

When fully staffed, our Interventional Radiology team consists of four Interventional Radiologists and five Advanced Practice Providers dedicated to supporting the practice. Hospital call responsibilities are shared between Radiologists and APPs to reduce the burden of after-hours support. The main call location is in Boise, where Radiologists handle weeknight and weekend interventional calls, while APPs provide weekend day coverage in Boise and Nampa for non-invasive IR support.

Support Services

Our Regional Medical Center in Boise is equipped with 44 critical care beds, including a 22-bed Trauma Neurosurgery, Stroke, and Medical ICU, a 10-bed CVICU, and a 10-bed CICU.

  • Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency program in Radiology
  • Completion of an accredited Fellowship in Interventional Radiology
  • Ability to obtain medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with privileges at our Boise facility and other affiliated hospitals as necessary
