Shift: Night

Salary Range: $114,461.58 - $146,522.68 annually

The compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee patient care to ensure compliance with care standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize the nursing process as the foundation for patient care delivery.
  • Ensure that patients and their families are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Provide nursing administrative support as necessary and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
  • Exhibit clinical and managerial judgment in evaluating staff assignments and determining appropriate staffing levels.
  • Conduct nursing rounds to monitor care quality and patient satisfaction.
Communication
  • Establish and enhance communication channels to promote open dialogue.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to ensure effective two-way communication across teams and departments.
  • Maintain effective communication with community members, medical staff, and management.
  • Keep the Nurse Manager updated through precise written and verbal communication.
  • Receive reports from the Nurse Manager/Shift Manager and provide concise updates to the incoming Shift Manager/Nurse Manager, focusing on personnel and patient care matters.
Leadership
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support service delivery.
  • Enhance staff effectiveness and competency through goal setting, role modeling, and learning opportunities.
  • Improve patient care quality by revising care delivery plans, identifying and addressing issues, and selecting performance indicators.
  • Implement national patient safety goals and communicate quality assurance and performance improvement findings as needed.
  • Ensure patient and family education is provided effectively.
  • Maintain clinical expertise and serve as a resource for specific patient populations.
People Management
  • Assess the qualifications and competencies of department personnel providing patient care services.
  • Facilitate orientation, in-service training, and ongoing education for all department staff.
  • Coordinate the effective utilization of personnel and resources.
  • Evaluate care provided by private duty and agency staff, documenting and making recommendations as necessary.
  • Communicate evaluations to the Staffing Coordinator for agency staff records.
Personal Development and Self-Management
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy while adhering to organizational philosophy and policies.
  • Maintain professional affiliations and pursue growth opportunities to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Engage in continuous education to explore and implement new professional and technical concepts, seeking additional certifications as appropriate.
