Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon

Our organization is in search of a Board Certified Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon to become part of a well-established and expanding practice located along the coast in North Myrtle Beach, SC.

We prefer candidates with experience, but are open to those who are enthusiastic about both general and sports orthopaedics, especially in a rapidly growing region!

Key Responsibilities:

• Join an established and expanding sports program!

• Collaborate with 1 Sports Surgeon, 2 non-operative sports physicians, and 1 Sports Advanced Practice Provider (APP).

• Work alongside a diverse team including 3 joint surgeons, 1 foot & ankle specialist, 1 upper extremity surgeon, 1 spine surgeon, and a large group of Advanced Practice Providers.

• Engage in both practice and operating room time! Access to growing ORs and a freestanding surgical center!

• Participate in emergency department call, which rotates among the surgical team.

• Be supported by a team of 9 Advanced Practice Providers in the inpatient call rotation.

• Establish affiliations with local high schools and colleges.

• General orthopaedics experience is required.

• While experienced candidates are preferred, new graduates are also welcome to apply.

Our facility, McLeod Health Seacoast, boasts over 200 active physicians across more than 32 medical specialties. McLeod Health Loris is a non-profit, 50-bed hospital that specializes in general surgery, women's health services, emergency care, critical care, urology, and various therapies including physical, occupational, and speech. We are also expanding our Dialysis Access Center.

The Carolina Forest area will continue to provide top-notch care, access to leading physicians, enhanced specialty services, and significant investments in technology. Our 43-acre campus will feature a seven-building complex offering a wide range of services. Additionally, a new $56 million, four-story state-of-the-art facility is projected to include 48 beds, ensuring immediate care for all patients. This facility is expected to be completed within the next two years, with an anticipated opening in 2026.
