General Laborer

Catcher needed in Orwell on 3rd shift working Sunday-Thursday from 10:55pm-6:55am.
Pay starts out at $17/hour and is temp to hire for the right candidate.
SUMMARY
Learn how to set up machine (calibration, cleaning, etc.), start a production cycle, control and adjust machine settings
Receive verbal instructions from Machine Operator
Maintain necessary records and move materials as necessary
Maintain work area in clean, safe and orderly condition
Learn how to properly handle and feed raw material
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
.Ensures production requirements at assigned work-center are met without sacrificing safety and/or quality.
Ensures work center housekeeping and safety procedures are followed.
Provides hands-on operation of the work-center equipment and machinery (loading coils, end weld, offloading, etc.).
Completes required production reports; ERP scans, etc. in the assigned area while sustaining production operations. Documents own work and verify proper procedures (inspection, tagging, etc.) are followed.
Supports other work-centers as needed to meet manufacturing goals and objectives.
Performs all reasonably related additional duties as assigned by Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS

All requirements must be accomplished in primary business language, which is English.
Individual must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, setup charts, etc...
Must have the ability to legibly complete routine production reports.
Ability as to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, including metric system units.
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Must have the ability to recognize potential problems, react quickly and work with peers, Shift Supervisor and the technical group in the problem-solving process.
Must possess a degree of verbal communication skill to ensure daily safety, quality and production successes.
Must have ability to work effectively with company personnel and customers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; climb and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally must lift up to 60 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
