RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide exceptional leadership by offering clinical oversight and guidance to ensure compliance with best practices and institutional protocols within the obstetric unit.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team of healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, nurses, midwives, and support personnel, to guarantee safe and comprehensive patient care.
  • Remain at the forefront of obstetric medicine by integrating new technologies and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
  • Formulate and execute strategic plans for the obstetric unit, encompassing resource management, budgeting, and the acquisition of essential equipment and supplies.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and ongoing education within the labor and delivery unit.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving patient and employee satisfaction, making continuous enhancements based on feedback from providers, staff, and patients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution and Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Active medical license in Virginia with current DEA registration.
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Obstetrics, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies, complications, and emergency obstetric scenarios.
  • Strong dedication to quality patient care, evidence-based practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in policy formulation, strategic planning, and budget oversight in a healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in obstetric medicine.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and enhancing satisfaction for patients, employees, and providers.
