Adelphi is seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to provide nursing services at a facility in Washington County, Texas. The ideal candidate will support the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Compensation: $40 per hour
Requirements • Completion of an approved LVN/LPN program
• Current, unencumbered LVN/LPN license to practice in Texas
• Nursing experience in an acute or long-term care setting preferred
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Ability to commit to a 6-month assignment
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including 3 weekends per month
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Must attend all required orientation and nursing education sessions
• Must be available for Orientation Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, for approximately 2 weeks.
• Attendance is mandatory, and punctuality is required, as missed sessions may be difficult to reschedule.
Responsibilities • Perform vocational and practical nursing duties within the assigned scope of practice.
• Provide care, treatment, and general support to individuals in a residential care setting.
• Perform routine and non-routine nursing tasks to promote health, safety, and well-being.
• Collect specimens for lab work and perform health screenings as needed.
• Perform technical nursing procedures in accordance with applicable regulations and care standards.
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Support direct care staff by providing nursing guidance and instruction as needed.
• Assist with on-the-job training for newly assigned nursing and support staff.
• Monitor individual health needs and report changes in condition as appropriate.
• Evaluate nursing interventions and provide input to the healthcare team.
• Assist Registered Nurses with protocols, procedures, and programs that support health and safety.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse while using sound judgment and initiative within the LVN/LPN scope of practice.
