We are in search of a Board-Certified Urologist with expertise in da Vinci Xi robotic surgery for a 13-week locum tenens role at a prominent community health system in Topeka, Kansas, and its surrounding areas. The position is designed for clinical efficiency, featuring three outpatient clinic days and two full OR days utilizing the da Vinci Xi system. This assignment is well-structured and organized, focusing on a defined caseload rather than on-call or gap-filling duties. The selected candidate will benefit from a supportive OR team, an established multi-campus outpatient network, and robust administrative resources, ensuring continuity of urological care while the health system seeks a permanent physician.

- Conduct robotic urological surgeries using the da Vinci Xi system during 2 dedicated OR days each week
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient urology services across 3 clinic days weekly
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of urological conditions, including oncology, stone disease, BPH, lower urinary tract symptoms, and pelvic floor issues
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and clinical teams, including urology nursing, OR personnel, and specialty coordinators
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation in line with facility, state, and Joint Commission standards
- Support the continuity of urological care during the ongoing search for a permanent physician
- Active, unrestricted medical license in Kansas, or eligibility to obtain one through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact before starting
- Board Certification in Urology at the time of assignment
- Proven proficiency with the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system
- Full-time availability for the entire 13-week assignment
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to complete client-specific credentialing within a 90-day timeframe
- Experience in urologic oncology, including robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, or cystectomy
- A background in high-volume robotic surgery (200 or more console cases)
- Experience in a community or regional health system setting
- Familiarity with Joint Commission documentation standards in surgical environments
- Fellowship training in Urologic Oncology, Reconstructive Urology, or Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS)
