Rate 35 hr W2 Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a long-term contract opportunity supporting a high-volume environment in Westchester County, NY. This role requires full-time onsite presence and will run through February 2027.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform high-volume, weekly 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
- Process vendor payments accurately and efficiently
- Handle reconciliations and resolve invoice discrepancies or disputes
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and address inquiries in a timely manner
Qualifications: - Minimum of 5+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
- Experience with 3-way match, payment processing, and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and vendor management experience
Preferred Qualifications: - Accounts receivable experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, including spreadsheet creation, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
- Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
