Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful teaching opportunity as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, supporting students across multiple schools located near Grove City, OH. This full-time contract assignment runs from August 5, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with an anticipated caseload of 8-10 students—primarily at the elementary level, with the possibility of supporting some middle and high school learners. The caseload may fluctuate as student needs evolve throughout the year.

Your expertise will be essential in providing both direct and consultative instructional services according to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). You’ll travel between various school sites, ensuring individualized support and collaborating actively with other educational professionals and family members.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current, active certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Prior experience supporting students with visual impairments in a school setting preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development and the effective delivery of both direct and indirect services
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting service provision

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and consultation as detailed in students’ IEPs
  • Provide indirect (non-contact) services such as thorough documentation and communication related to IEP activities
  • Attend meetings as requested to support student success
  • Travel to multiple locations within the district to meet student needs
