OBGyn Hospitalist Position

We invite you to be a part of our expanding OBGyn Hospitalist program at a prominent medical facility in Washington, DC. We are actively seeking candidates for both full-time and PRN roles.

Position Overview

Full-time team members, working at a 1.0 FTE, will provide comprehensive 24/7 coverage, averaging six twenty-four-hour shifts each month. This role offers a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of deliveries within our Maternal Health Access Program
  • Provide care for unassigned obstetric and gynecological patients presenting through the Emergency Department
  • Support community physicians in Labor and Delivery, including assisting with cesarean sections, initial care in emergencies, and triage support
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will be adept at handling emergencies in both obstetrics and gynecology and possess the adaptability to take on supportive roles as needed. They should practice evidence-based medicine collaboratively and advocate for patient safety and healthcare equity.

Reporting Structure

The OBGyn Hospitalist will report to the Medical Director, who in turn reports to the Vice President of Medical Affairs. Collaboration will also occur with the Director of Nursing, Director of Operations, and Chairperson of Women and Infant Services to enhance quality, safety, and patient-centered care initiatives. Additionally, the Clinical Associates will work closely with community obstetricians and maternal-fetal medicine specialists to address patient care needs, drive quality and safety initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.

This position is offered through the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at a leading university's School of Medicine, where you will hold a faculty appointment and academic rank based on your experience.
