We are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Nutrition to provide strategic leadership and oversight for pharmacy and nutrition services within a leading healthcare organization in Boston, MA. This executive-level role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care through effective management of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
The Director will lead pharmacy and clinical nutrition programs while supporting institutional and system-level goals related to medication management, nutritional care, quality improvement, and operational excellence.

Competitive salary range: $189,000 - $210,000 annually

Oversight of pharmacy and clinical nutrition services
Opportunity to influence clinical practice, operational strategy, and patient care initiatives
Provide overall leadership and direction for Pharmacy and Clinical Nutrition departments, including clinical services, operations, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication and nutrition management practices.
Develop and implement departmental goals aligned with organizational and system-wide objectives.
Oversee department budgets, fiscal reporting, purchasing, inventory management, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards, including Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy, USP Chapters, Joint Commission, FDA, DEA, HRSA, and other regulatory organizations.
Lead recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and professional development of pharmacy and nutrition staff.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, clinical teams, and administrative partners to improve patient outcomes.
Support quality improvement initiatives and promote continuous innovation within pharmacy and nutrition services.
Participate in multidisciplinary committees, including Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees.
Oversee pharmacy residency programs and student educational experiences.
Serve as a leader and subject matter expert related to medication management, controlled substances, and clinical nutrition operations.
Review and develop policies related to medication dispensing, administration, documentation, and nutritional care.
Evaluate opportunities to improve clinical services, operational efficiency, and patient care delivery.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited U.S. pharmacy school.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience within a Pharmacy Department.
2-3 years of experience as an Assistant Director of Pharmacy within an organization with a pharmacy residency program up to PGY2 in Pharmacy Administration.
Current Massachusetts Pharmacist License required by start date.
Strong leadership, communication, and educator skills.
Additional advanced degree such as:
MS
MBA
MHA
MPH
Experience managing pharmacy budgets and financial operations.
Experience developing inventory control systems.
Ability to present clinical, operational, educational, research, and financial initiatives.
Knowledge of national trends impacting pharmacy services, medication management, and healthcare operations.
