<p><strong>Senior Data Center Power Systems Engineer</strong></p><p><strong>Job Summary</strong><br>This pivotal role involves transforming product and solution requirements into comprehensive electrical system solutions by defining power architecture, selecting major electrical components, and ensuring optimal system performance, efficiency, and reliability. This hands-on engineering position offers the opportunity to influence product architecture and drive future technological advancements.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design complete electrical power system architectures for mission-critical applications.<li>Develop system-level electrical designs based on customer requirements.<li>Perform electrical load analysis, power calculations, and equipment sizing.<li>Select and specify major electrical components, including inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), power conversion equipment, transformers, circuit protection devices, switchgear, and distribution equipment.<li>Evaluate power flow, efficiency, fault current, thermal loading, and overall system performance.<li>Collaborate with controls and mechanical engineering teams to optimize system integration and manufacturability.<li>Support prototype development, testing, validation, and field commissioning.<li>Participate in design reviews and provide technical leadership.<li>Develop one-line diagrams, specifications, and detailed design calculations.<li>Research emerging technologies in electrical power systems and energy infrastructure.</ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.<li>Minimum of 8 years of electrical systems design experience.<li>Strong understanding of AC and DC electrical power systems.<li>Proficiency with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or equivalent software.<li>Experience designing medium- and low-voltage power systems.<li>Ability to perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.<li>Knowledge of electrical protection principles and power distribution.<li>Ability to interpret electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</ul><p><strong>Nice to Have Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with data center and mission-critical power infrastructure.<li>Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), UPS, and power conversion systems.<li>Familiarity with inverter-based resources, generators, hybrid power systems, microgrids, and renewable energy integration.<li>Experience in industrial, utility, marine, or other critical-power applications.<li>Skills in load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, protection coordination, harmonic analysis, grounding, and transient stability studies.<li>Experience with factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical leadership on multidisciplinary projects.<li>Knowledge of industry standards such as NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and UL.</ul><p><strong>Preferred Education and Experience</strong><br>Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and over 8 years of relevant experience are preferred.
