Job Summary:
The Press Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day flow of titles going through the press department. The Press Coordinator will prepare and log department maintenance to include scheduled preventative maintenance, be responsible to ensure weekly inventories are completed and order all parts and supplies, coordinate and schedule department training for newly hired personnel, and develop and implement training program for new operators and coordinate cross training.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare and log preventative maintenance tasks in FMX.
- Assist in ensuring weekly supply inventories are completed.
- Assist in ordering parts and supplies.
- Submit rework when necessary.
- Track rework causes.
- Communicate with department leaders and IT team regarding any system concerns.
- Communicate with other scheduling coordinators to make sure clear date needs are being met (work proactively to update next areas on late transactions as well as early).
- Offer input and suggestions for workflow to minimize overtime as well as to balance loads between like equipment and platforms.
- Offer input when overtime is needed or recommend areas for labor reduction based on scheduled loads via cost center clear dates.
- Focus on total jobs, not just parts as the flow through the shop to minimize the production of WIP being stored for more than 48 hours.
- Demonstrate good housekeeping attitudes and practices.

- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, while maintaining an overall awareness of safety within the workplace.
- Perform other job-related duties as may be assigned or required.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED/HiSET required.
- Good interpersonal skills required.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all work groups.
- Flexible, with the ability to think outside the box in order to achieve total customer satisfaction.
- Ability to be a leader but also a team player.
- Ability to work well under stressful situations with or without direction.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy required; ability to learn to use scheduling software, production software, and various Microsoft applications.
- Effective email and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to perform work productively and safely.
- Reliable; good attendance is required.
- Required to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to a maximum of 50 lbs. frequently.
- Continuous standing required.
- Frequent walking and stooping required.
- Occasional sitting, crouching, and reaching/working overhead required.
- Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required.
- Work environment involves exposure to excessive noise, being near moving machinery, and exposure to potential arm and wrist fatigue.
- Must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.
