<br/><br/><p ><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p >Masterack is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker with hands-on experience building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting dies and production tooling used in a manufacturing environment.</p><p >This is a skilled-trades position and is not a general Machine Operator, CNC Operator, Maintenance Technician, or Production position.</p><p >The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with stamping/forming dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and precision tooling.</p><p ><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li >Build, repair, modify, and maintain dies, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.</li><li >Troubleshoot production dies and tooling to identify wear, damage, alignment issues, and other failures.</li><li >Disassemble, inspect, repair, fit, and reassemble dies and tooling.</li><li >Perform preventive maintenance on production dies and tooling.</li><li >Read and interpret tooling drawings, blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD prints.</li><li >Machine replacement or repair components using mills, lathes, surface grinders, CNC equipment, and other tool-room machinery.</li><li >Fit and assemble tooling components to tight dimensional tolerances.</li><li >Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.</li><li >Support die tryouts, adjustments, troubleshooting, and production improvements.</li><li >Work with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime caused by tooling issues.</li><li >Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.</li></ul><p ><strong>Required Experience</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li >3+ years of hands-on Tool & Die Maker, Die Maker, Toolmaker, or closely related tool-room experience.</li><li >Direct experience building, repairing, maintaining, or troubleshooting production dies/tooling.</li><li >Experience with metal stamping or forming dies strongly preferred.</li><li >Ability to read blueprints, tooling drawings, and dimensional specifications.</li><li >Experience using manual mills, lathes, grinders, or similar tool-room equipment.</li><li >Experience working to tight tolerances.</li><li >Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.</li><li >Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><p ><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li >Progressive or stamping dies</li><li >Die repair and maintenance</li><li >Die setup and tryout</li><li >CNC machining</li><li >EDM</li><li >Surface grinding</li><li >Welding and fabrication</li><li >Tool steels and metal properties</li><li >Heat-treatment knowledge</li><li >Automotive or high-volume manufacturing</li><li >Preventive tooling maintenance</li><li >Lean Manufacturing / 5S</li></ul><p ><strong>Important:</strong> General machine operation, CNC production operation, maintenance, welding, or manufacturing experience alone does not meet the experience requirements for this position.
