You will be instrumental in providing therapy and integrated care to enhance the well-being of under-served populations, aligning your efforts with our mission of delivering quality, patient-centered healthcare regardless of ability to pay.

About the Organization

At Child & Family Care Services, we are a community-oriented health clinic dedicated to promoting healthier communities. Our philosophy revolves around thinking globally while acting locally, serving diverse populations in medically under-served areas. Our mission is grounded in creating a model for other health centers by providing inclusive, compassionate, and high-quality care that addresses the unique needs of our clients.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while remaining connected to the community. As an LCSW, you will collaborate with a dynamic and dedicated team of mental health professionals, ensuring that you work in an environment that values collaboration and mutual support. Our efforts are directed towards achieving clinical excellence and empowering clients through accessible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly engage with clients, both in the virtual environment and through in-community outreach, to provide therapy addressing major mental health disorders and severe emotional difficulties.
  • Develop and implement integrated care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication among clients, family members, and service providers.
  • Conduct evidence-based assessments and screenings to determine the specific needs of clients, arranging for more comprehensive evaluations when necessary.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, ensuring that treatment is focused on each client's presenting problems and goals.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client cases and share insights that contribute to collective goals and outcomes.
  • Monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as needed and overseeing the continuity of care through follow-up and intervention.
  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, employing sound judgment to address urgent client needs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all professional ethical guidelines and organizational policies, maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all clients.
  • Document treatment services, progress notes, and ensure timely completion of reports and data submissions in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Serve as a community advocate for your clients, connecting them with additional resources and support systems as required.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be the diverse populations within our community, including children, adolescents, and families who experience major mental illnesses and severe emotional issues. The clinic’s commitment to serving under-resourced areas means you will be working with clients facing significant barriers to accessing mental health care, allowing you to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Valid LCSW license in the state of Texas.
  • Proven expertise in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that facilitate effective interactions with clients from various backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and an understanding of the developmental needs of different age groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing direct therapeutic services in a community setting.
  • Experience working with under-served populations and familiarity with culturally competent practices.
  • Knowledge of electronic health record systems and proficiency in documentation standards.
  • Engagement in ongoing professional development and training in evidence-based therapies.
