Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Professional Counselor, your main responsibilities will include:



  • Group Therapy: Facilitate engaging group sessions that allow clients to share their experiences, offer support, and foster interpersonal connections.

  • Individual Therapy: Conduct personalized therapy sessions that help clients explore inner thoughts and feelings while developing coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.

  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to create tailored, goal-oriented treatment plans, considering their specific needs and preferences.

  • Progress Monitoring: Use various assessment tools and feedback methods to evaluate and document client progress, ensuring that treatment goals are met efficiently.

  • Team Collaboration: Work within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining communication to coordinate care effectively and consult on complex cases, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are experiencing mental health challenges. This population is often navigating transitions in their lives, including educational pursuits, career decisions, and personal relationships. Your role is crucial in providing these individuals with the necessary tools and support to achieve mental wellness and maintain healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position must hold a Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license is required to practice in Connecticut. Furthermore, strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a commitment to service are key attributes for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient therapy settings, especially focusing on young adults, will have an advantage. Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
