• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ mental health concerns, emotional needs, and personal strengths, integrating comprehensive background information to inform treatment plans.


• Deliver compassionate individual, couples, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions, to support clients in their unique journeys.


• Craft and execute personalized treatment plans that reflect the goals of each client while regularly monitoring and adjusting these plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.


• Establish trusting therapeutic relationships to encourage client engagement and foster a collaborative atmosphere, enhancing the effectiveness of treatment interventions.


• Uphold professional ethics and confidentiality standards across all interactions and documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.


• Stay current with advancements in therapeutic techniques and best practices through continuous professional development and participation in relevant training and workshops.


• Provide guidance and practical strategies to clients for coping with the challenges related to illness, loss, and grief.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Health Scope Behavioral Services, you will primarily support clients in hospice care—a sensitive and critical time in their lives. Your client base will include individuals facing terminal conditions as well as their families, who may be navigating feelings of grief, anxiety, and uncertainty. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping these clients find peace and acceptance during significant transitions.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.


• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.


• A minimum of two years of experience providing clinical support, particularly in settings that focus on hospice or end-of-life care is preferred.


• Strong competencies in assessment, treatment planning, and the implementation of therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of clients.


• Exceptional empathy, communication, and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.

• Experience working within a hospice or palliative care setting.


• Familiarity with diverse therapeutic models relevant to mental health challenges experienced by clients at the end of life.


• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and other digital communication tools to connect effectively with clients.
