Operations Manager
Location: Overland Park, KS
Target Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 / year
Position OverviewWe are seeking a results-driven Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations at a growing facility in the Overland Park, KS area. This key leadership role requires a unique combination of technical expertise in machining/CNC environments and data analytical capabilities to streamline, modernize, and optimize operational processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Leadership: Direct and oversee daily manufacturing and shop floor activities to meet production schedules, safety standards, and quality targets.
Data Analytics & Systems Management: Leverage analytical skills to work with legacy databases, MRP systems, and operational reporting tools. Analyze operational metrics, inventory tracking, and production output to drive overall plant efficiency.
Process Optimization: Manage and audit internal data workflows using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access to identify operational bottlenecks and improve inventory, planning, and throughput.
Technical Supervision: Partner closely with production managers, machinists, and maintenance technicians to support CNC equipment operations and shop technical workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the strategic bridge between plant floor teams, supply chain/materials management, and executive leadership to align and achieve operational goals.
Data & Analytics Expertise: Advanced, high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access (or legacy database systems), along with hands-on experience utilizing MRP/ERP platforms.
Technical / CNC Background: Demonstrated practical experience working in or around CNC machinery and machining production environments.
Leadership Experience: Proven track record in operations management, plant supervision, or industrial leadership within manufacturing.
Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to analyze complex production data, resolve operational inefficiencies, and drive process improvements.
