Respite Care Provider Life Skills Development
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable individual to provide respite care for a bright and energetic young girl with autism and ADHD. This part-time role offers more than supervision it is a meaningful opportunity to mentor, support, and empower her as she gains confidence, independence, and essential daily living skills.
As a Respite Care Provider, you will work with her in the home and during occasional community outings, helping guide structured routines and hands-on activities that promote learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

Location
Care provided in the childs home and during local community outings
Compensation
$18.42/hour
Schedule
Flexible, arranged in advance with the parent/guardian

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 supervision in a safe and encouraging environment
Teach and assist with daily living skills, including light hygiene reminders, meal preparation, and simple household tasks
Support her independence using positive reinforcement and step-by-step instruction
Encourage social-emotional development through structured play and consistent routines
Maintain open, ongoing communication with the family to share progress, insights, and recommendations

Ideal Provider
Experience supporting children with disabilities or neurodiverse needs (autism and/or ADHD preferred)
Patient, empathetic, and consistent, with strong interpersonal skills
Able to follow and adapt to an individualized care plan
Comfortable teaching life skills using clear, structured, and supportive methods
CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Requirements
Must pass a caregiver background check
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Strong communication and time-management skills
Experience working with children with special needs
Genuine passion for mentoring youth and making a meaningful impact
