<p>Road Warrior Staffing is hiring experienced Regional CDL A Drivers for a dedicated freight lane between Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Chicago, Illinois.</p><p>This is a great opportunity for a Class A truck driver looking for consistent regional miles, home time every weekend, dedicated routes, and competitive weekly pay.</p><p>Drivers are paid $0.55 CPM based on practical/authorized dispatch miles, with the opportunity to earn an additional $0.02 CPM quarterly safety bonus when qualification requirements are met.</p><p>Drivers receive a $1,000 weekly minimum gross pay guarantee when qualified and can expect average weekly earnings of approximately $1,400–$1,500.</p><p>The position primarily hauls large paper rolls using modified drop-deck dry van trailers. Freight is primarily no-touch, allowing drivers to focus on safely operating the truck and completing their dedicated route.</p><p>Dedicated Regional Route</p><p>The primary dedicated lane runs between:</p><p>Cedar Rapids, IA ↔ Chicago, IL</p><p>Drivers are home every weekend, with the weekend defined as Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, not to exceed 48 hours.</p><p>Depending on the driver's location and operational needs, drivers may also have opportunities to get home during the week.</p><p>Qualified drivers who have a safe and suitable location to park the truck may have the opportunity to take the truck home.</p><h3>Duties</h3><p>The Regional CDL A Driver will be responsible for:</p><p>Safely operating a Class A commercial motor vehicle.<br />Transporting primarily paper-roll freight between Cedar Rapids, IA and Chicago, IL.<br />Operating modified drop-deck dry van equipment designed to transport large paper rolls.<br />Completing assigned dedicated routes safely and efficiently.<br />Maintaining reliable and on-time pickup and delivery schedules.<br />Performing required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.<br />Following all applicable DOT regulations and company safety requirements.<br />Maintaining a safe and professional driving record.<br />Properly securing and transporting freight.<br />Communicating with dispatch, customers, and company personnel as necessary.<br />Maintaining assigned equipment and reporting maintenance concerns.<br />Providing professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations.<br />Prioritizing safety while maintaining dependable service for customers and carrier partners.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Must be 21 years of age or older.<br />Must hold a valid Class A CDL.<br />Minimum 6 months of verifiable Class A combination-vehicle driving experience.<br />Recent Class A experience must meet the requirements of the applicable driving division.<br />Regional or OTR experience is preferred but not required.<br />Must have a valid DOT Medical Certificate properly merged with the driver's CDL.<br />Must have Non-Excepted Interstate self-certification on the CDL.<br />Must successfully complete required pre-employment training and testing.<br />Must successfully pass a road test at the beginning of orientation.<br />Class B/straight-truck experience does not count toward the Class A experience requirement.<br />Employment History</p><p>Drivers should have no more than 4 commercial driving jobs within the previous 12 months.</p><p>Applicants who have been out of driving for an
