This hands-on position is responsible for setting up and operating edgebanding equipment used to apply protective and finished edging to manufactured panels and components.</p><p>The ideal candidate has <strong>1–3 years of machine operation experience</strong>, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience working with precise measurements. This position involves machine setup and operation, quality inspections, troubleshooting, and basic equipment maintenance.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Set up and operate edgebanding machinery according to production specifications and work orders</p><li><p>Feed and process panels and components through equipment safely and efficiently</p><li><p>Read and interpret production labels, measurements, and product specifications</p><li><p>Verify measurements to ensure finished products meet order requirements and established tolerances</p><li><p>Inspect finished products for proper edging, adhesion, smoothness, and overall quality</p><li><p>Use measurement and inspection tools to identify defects or inconsistencies</p><li><p>Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and production standards</p><li><p>Monitor equipment and identify potential mechanical or quality issues</p><li><p>Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic adjustments or repairs</p><li><p>Coordinate more complex equipment repairs with maintenance personnel as needed</p><li><p>Complete routine preventive maintenance according to established procedures and manufacturer guidelines</p><li><p>Maintain accurate inventory records for materials and production supplies</p><li><p>Follow all required safety procedures and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</p><li><p>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area</p><li><p>Complete production tasks within established quality and productivity expectations</p></ul><h2>Qualifications & Skills</h2><ul><li><p><strong>1–3 years of machine operation experience required</strong></p><li><p>Experience with edgebanding equipment, woodworking machinery, cabinetry, or panel processing is a plus</p><li><p>Strong mechanical and technical aptitude</p><li><p>Ability to accurately read and work with precise measurements</p><li><p>Ability to recognize product defects and make appropriate machine adjustments</p><li><p>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality</p><li><p>Ability to identify equipment issues through visual or audible indicators</p><li><p>Comfortable performing basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments</p><li><p>Ability to follow work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures</p><li><p>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</p></ul><br>ABR Employment Services is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
