Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your daily responsibilities will encompass a variety of clinical tasks aimed at improving the mental health of those you serve. Key duties will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate the psychological and social needs of clients.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Leading therapeutic sessions via teletherapy, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
  • Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with clinic protocols.
  • Collaborating with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Actively participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus on a diverse population, including individuals facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will assist clients across different ages, primarily adults, who may also be dealing with the impact of social determinants of health. Your empathetic approach will enable you to build strong rapport and trust with clients, fostering an environment where they feel safe to express themselves and engage in their treatment.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • An active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Virginia.
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and manage complex client needs through previous clinical experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and a commitment to utilizing technology effectively to enhance client care.
Preferred Experience

While two years of direct clinical experience is required, preference will be given to candidates who have:

  • Experience working in community health settings or with underserved populations.
  • Knowledge of additional therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or trauma-informed care.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and virtual counseling platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
