A leading regional healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to support surgeons and clinical teams throughout a variety of surgical procedures in a collaborative operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
Assist surgeons and other members of the surgical team throughout operative procedures
Maintain a sterile field and follow established infection prevention protocols
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide appropriate instruments and supplies
Perform surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation
Review surgical preference cards and prepare appropriate instrumentation
Inspect instruments and equipment for sterility, safety, and proper function
Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping
Handle surgical specimens according to established procedures
Assist with operating room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases
Maintain and organize surgical instruments and supplies
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia personnel, and other clinical staff
Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Follow departmental policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
Current BLS certification
Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
Experience working in a hospital or medical center operating room
Ability to work with a variety of surgical specialties
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Weeks Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital in Lancaster and provides surgical services as part of its inpatient and outpatient care.
