<p><strong>Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry</strong> </br> <strong>Location:</strong> Wilmington, NC </br> <strong>Agency:</strong> Concentric Healthcare Staffing </br> <strong>Pay:</strong> Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) </br> <strong>Contract Duration:</strong> 13 Weeks </br> <strong>Start Date:</strong> ASAP </br></p> <h4 >About the Position</h4> <p>TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!<br><br><p></p><h2>Job Title</h2><p>Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (ED Holding / Float Pool)</p><h2>Location</h2><p>Wilmington, NC | Acute Care</p><h2>Schedule / Job Type</h2><p>Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36- or 48-hour contracts accepted | Every other weekend required | Must be available to work holidays</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Provide nursing care to adult medical/surgical patients in an inpatient holding area located within the Emergency Department, supporting patients awaiting an inpatient bed</li><li>Manage MS/Telemetry patient assignments at ratios of 1:6–1:7, with potential PCU-level patients at ratios of 1:3–1:4</li><li>Float to ED and MedSurg areas as needed within and near the facility</li><li>Operate standard unit equipment including cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and other monitoring systems; utilize <strong>Pyxis</strong>, <strong>Epic</strong>, and <strong>SBAR</strong> for medication administration, documentation, and communication</li><li>Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters</li><li>Wear navy scrubs and complete approximately 12 hours of on-site orientation plus required pre-start online modules</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state (pending licensure considered for submission)</li><li><strong>BLS certification required</strong></li><li><strong>NIHSS certification required</strong></li><li>Minimum 2 years of RN experience required</li><li>Prior travel nursing experience required</li><li>MS/Telemetry and ED holding experience required</li><li>Must pass EKG testing prior to start</li><li>Must be able to maintain pace in a fast-moving, high-acuity environment with 1:6–1:7 patient ratios</li><li>Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply; a local pay rate will apply</li></ul><h2>Preferred Experience / Skills</h2><ul><li>CPI certification preferred</li><li>Experience with PCU-level patients</li><li>Familiarity with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems</li><li>Experience floating across multiple unit types within an acute care setting</li></ul><h2>Why Join Us</h2><ul><li>Longer-term contract opportunities available, with extensions considered through early 2027</li><li>Work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment that offers broad clinical exposure across MS/Tele, PCU, and ED holding patient populations</li></ul><p></p></p><p> <b>About Concentric Healthcare Staffing</b><br><p>Founded and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Concentric Healthcare Staffing specializes in healthcare employment with an emphasis in nursing and allied health.
