Location: Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: Up to $82,000 annually

About the Opportunity

A prestigious luxury hospitality organization is seeking a Sous Chef to join its culinary leadership team at an award-winning Forbes Five-Star caliber hotel in Los Angeles. Fine dining hotel restaurant experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• 3+ years of culinary leadership experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or fine dining environment.

• Fine dining hotel restaurant experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of knife skills, food preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment.

• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Experience supervising and training kitchen staff.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with inventory and cost controls preferred.

• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Executive Chef.

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and food production.

• Supervise food preparation, presentation, and quality standards.

• Lead, coach, and develop culinary team members.

• Assist with menu execution and seasonal offerings.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and cost controls.

• Review and maintain in-room dining reports and operational metrics.

• Support exceptional guest dining experiences across hotel outlets.

Manage kitchen operations in the Executive Chef’s absence.
