Network Engineer

NETWORK ENGINEER (Telephony)

Location (city, state): Columbia, TN

Type: 6 month Contract to Hire

Compensation: $85-100K

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Work Schedule: Onsite for the duration of the contract, with flexible hybrid schedule long-term

Qualifications:

• Support for network operations and infrastructure upgrades


• Cisco Meraki and switching exposure


• Webex and VoIP telephony exposure, with a focus on supporting phone systems

Preferred but not required:

• Experience assisting with end-of-life switch replacements


• Exposure to wireless, firewall, and connectivity initiatives


• Single-mode fiber experience

Job Description:

Support day-to-day network operations across Cisco Meraki environments, assisting the senior network team with ongoing infrastructure upgrades and modernization efforts. Provide hands-on support for the organization's Webex and VoIP telephony environment, including troubleshooting phone system issues, assisting with configuration changes, and supporting end users across clinical and administrative sites. Assist with the planning and execution of the organization's switch refresh, helping replace end-of-life and end-of-support switches under the guidance of senior engineers. Support wireless infrastructure initiatives and basic firewall and connectivity troubleshooting as needed, gaining exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and single-mode fiber environments along the way. Work closely with senior network engineers to build foundational skills in enterprise network administration, while contributing to daily operations and the broader network modernization roadmap.
