Korn Ferry is partnering with executive leadership at University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center to identify a transformational leader for Emergency and Behavioral Health Services. This highly visible role is ideal for a relationship-driven leader who excels in complex environments and is passionate about improving culture, patient flow, staff engagement, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead a 75,000-visit Emergency Department and Behavioral Health Unit.

  • Improve throughput, quality outcomes, employee engagement, and operational performance.

  • Develop and mentor nursing leaders while strengthening team stability.

  • Partner closely with physicians, nursing leaders, and executives to advance patient care and organizational goals.

  • Lead culture change initiatives that foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.




What We're Looking For



  • BSN required; experienced nurse leader with 5+ years of Emergency Department leadership in a complex, high-acuity environment.

  • Track record leading large, fast-paced clinical operations and delivering measurable results.

  • Visible, frontline leader who builds credibility through engagement and presence.

  • Strong experience driving transformation, developing leaders, and improving performance.

  • Background in trauma, behavioral health, academic medicine, or union environments is a plus.

  • Seeking a long-term opportunity to make a meaningful organizational impact.
