Role Description The Field Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles County, CA, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field activities and ensuring that facilities services meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This role manages field teams, assigns work orders, and monitors completion of maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks across multiple client sites. The Field Operations Manager regularly conducts site visits, inspects work, and coordinates with clients to address service needs, resolve issues, and adjust priorities. Daily responsibilities include scheduling staff, optimizing routes, managing inventory and equipment, and enforcing safety protocols and company policies. The role also involves tracking key operational metrics, preparing reports, supporting budgeting and resource planning, and collaborating with leadership to improve processes and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Experience managing field operations, facilities services, or related on-site teams, with strong skills in scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination.
- Proficiency in using operations or work order management software, mobile tools, and basic office applications to track jobs, report status, and communicate with teams.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities, including coaching, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and team-building in diverse work environments.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, respond quickly to changing conditions, and make sound, data-informed decisions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, field staff, and internal stakeholders in a professional, service-oriented manner.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in facilities and field operations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Prior experience in facilities management, building maintenance, janitorial services, or related industries in Los Angeles County or similar markets is beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, facilities management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between client sites within Los Angeles County, CA as needed.
