Job Description

A leading alternative credit investment manager is seeking a Paralegal to support its Legal and Compliance teams. The firm invests across a range of private and public credit strategies, offering broad exposure to corporate, transactional, fund, governance, and regulatory matters.


This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to build experience across both legal and compliance within an established investment platform. The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and compliance professionals, as well as colleagues across investments, finance, investor relations, and operations.






Key Responsibilities


Legal



  • Provide day-to-day support across corporate, transactional, fund, and investment management matters.

  • Assist with preparing, reviewing, executing, and organizing agreements, certifications, consents, resolutions, and other legal documents.

  • Coordinate signature collection and execution processes, track outstanding items, and maintain completed agreements.

  • Support entity formation, ongoing maintenance, corporate filings, and governance activities.

  • Maintain corporate records, entity documentation, organizational charts, contract databases, and legal files.

  • Assist with legal due diligence, transaction closings, and investment-related matters.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external counsel on documentation, filings, and information requests.




Compliance



  • Support the administration of the firm’s compliance program, including policies, procedures, and record keeping.

  • Assist with regulatory filings, registrations, certifications, and periodic reporting.

  • Help administer employee compliance processes, including personal trading, gifts and entertainment, outside business activities, and other Code of Ethics requirements.

  • Coordinate compliance training, employee attestations, and annual and periodic certifications.

  • Gather and organize materials for regulatory examinations, internal reviews, audits, and information requests.

  • Support compliance monitoring and testing, including maintaining records of completed reviews.

  • Maintain regulatory and compliance calendars and track required filings, reviews, and deadlines.

  • Assist with special projects and initiatives across Legal, Compliance, and other business teams.




Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Prior paralegal, legal, compliance, or related experience within an asset manager, investment adviser, law firm, financial institution, or similar professional environment.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal, compliance, document management, or regulatory systems is a plus.
