Local Move Coordinator

We’re working with an established moving and relocation company looking to hire a Local Move Coordinator in Manhattan, New York. The role will focus on coordinating local household goods moves, managing move files and keeping customers, crews and operations updated throughout the process.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating local household goods moves from booking through to completion.


• Managing customer move files and ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.


• Acting as the main point of contact for customers throughout their move.


• Liaising with operations, drivers and moving crews regarding schedules and move requirements.


• Confirming access, packing, labour and other requirements ahead of move day.


• Keeping customers updated and resolving any issues that arise during the move.


• Completing move paperwork and ensuring files are ready for billing and close-out.

Our client is particularly interested in candidates with:

• Previous Move Coordinator experience within the moving and relocation industry.


• Good knowledge of local household goods moving processes.


• Experience managing multiple move files and customer requirements at the same time.


• Strong customer service and communication skills.


• Good organisation and attention to detail.


• Experience working closely with moving crews, drivers and operations teams.
