Network Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties
Design and operate modern datacenter fabrics using advanced networking technologies like EVPN/VXLAN and BGP.
Engineer high-performance network systems supporting market connectivity and critical production applications.
Develop and maintain automation tools for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Python and APIs.
Optimize network performance through telemetry, packet analysis, and performance instrumentation.
Define and enforce network security standards, including segmentation and encrypted transport.
Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure seamless integration and robust security measures.
Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance network resiliency and scalability.
Provide production support and drive improvements in reliability and operational excellence.
Network Engineer Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.
Proficiency in designing and operating IP networks, including BGP, OSPF, and EVPN/VXLAN.
Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
Knowledge of hybrid cloud networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
Strong understanding of network security architectures and Zero Trust principles.
Preferred experience in low-latency network infrastructure within financial services or high-performance computing.
Demonstrated ability to adopt emerging technologies and drive architectural improvements.
