Role Overview
The Lab Administrator oversees daily technical lab operations, maintaining a safe, secure, organized, and efficient environment for engineering and deployment work. This role manages lab assets, equipment logistics, access, documentation, infrastructure readiness, and coordination with Engineering, Facilities, Security, Network, and other technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily lab operations, including facility coordination, readiness, safety, security, access, and compliance.
- Maintain lab assets, inventory, and related documentation, including equipment, servers, network devices, racks, cabling, asset inventories, rack elevations, NDTs, floor plans, SOPs, and deployment records.
- Coordinate the equipment lifecycle from receiving and storage through deployment, relocation, shipping, and decommissioning.
- Support rack-and-stack, equipment installation, cabling, and infrastructure-readiness activities
- Partner with Engineering, Network, Facilities, Security, and Logistics teams to resolve issues and sustain operational readiness.
- Track activities, issues, and deliverables using Microsoft 365 and work-management tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Ensure adherence to organizational safety, security, asset-management and operational standards.
Required Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Working knowledge of datacenter, lab, or technical infrastructure environments, including networking fundamentals, servers, switches, routers, rack infrastructure, structured cabling, and network readiness requirements.
- Familiarity with rack-and-stack activities, equipment installation, power distribution, environmental requirements, and interpretation of rack elevations, floor plans, NDTs, BOMs, and deployment documentation.
- Understanding of hardware asset lifecycle management, including tracking, tagging, inventory control, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving, logistics, packaging, labeling, and equipment handling.
- Familiarity with access controls, physical security, safety procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar work-tracking and project-management platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in a technical lab, datacenter, engineering, or IT infrastructure environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, coordination, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate asset, inventory, and operational records.
- Ability to work independently, identify operational gaps, and drive issues to resolution.
- Ability to safely handle and coordinate the movement of technical equipment while maintaining an organized lab.

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
